Tissue Viability

Amana Healthcare provides highly specialized tissue viability services for patients requiring specialist care in tissue viability, lymphoedema, and wound management. Amana Healthcare’s tissue viability service is led by a multidisciplinary team of specialist nurses, physicians, and therapists, and delivered in an inpatient or home setting.

  - Specialist wound/oedema assessment
  - Multidisciplinary team approach for discharge planning
  - Individualized patient-centered care plan
  - Management of patients requiring negative pressure wound therapy.
  - Tissue viability and wound management for patients with burn wounds, who are medically stable.
  - Management of patients with osteomyelitis/cellulitis, requiring home IV antibiotics.
  - Lower limb vascular assessment
  - Diabetic foot assessment and management in partnership with vascular and podiatry services
  - Amputee service in partnership with post-acute rehabilitation service.
  - Holistic lymphoedema service from initial assessment to a lifelong management plan
  - Manual lymphatic drainage for patients with primary or secondary lymphoedema
  - Compression therapy including bandaging and measurement for custom-fit compression garments
  - Specialist education on pressure injury prevention
  - Home assessments and hands-on home support

Stoma Care

Amana Healthcare offers a comprehensive stoma care service providing education, informal counselling, lifestyle advice, health promotion, appliance management and support to patients who have or are about to have a stoma formed. The service involves both pre-operative and long-term management of clients with a stoma.

Amana Healthcare’s tissue viability service is led by a
multidisciplinary team of specialist nurses, physicians, and therapists and delivered in an inpatient or home setting.
