In this first phase, Amana Academy is dedicated to the professional development of Amana Healthcare Bahrain teams, in line with Amana Healthcare’s long‑standing commitment to developing specialist capability through consistent, high‑quality training.

Amana Academy is an initiative under the Tamkeen x M42 partnership, reflecting a shared commitment to national capability building in healthcare. By accelerating structured upskilling and knowledge transfer, Amana Academy supports workforce readiness today while contributing to longer‑term sector growth and innovation. 

Learning Tracks

Amana Academy is structured around four core learning tracks, designed to reflect the multidisciplinary nature Amana Healthcare Bahrain’s long‑term care and post‑acute rehabilitation services. Each track combines role‑specific learning with shared, team‑based practice to strengthen consistency, safety and patient experience.

Track 1: Physicians

A focused pathway for physicians working in complex long‑term care and post‑acute rehabilitation. Modules emphasize clinical decision-making, continuity of care, multidisciplinary collaboration and safe transitions across the recovery journey.

Track 2: Allied Health

 A specialist pathway for therapists and allied health professionals delivering structured rehabilitation. Training supports evidence‑based practice, goal setting, functional outcomes and patient/family communication - supported by hands‑on learning across a range of therapies including Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech & Language Therapy.

Track 3: Nursing

A dedicated pathway for nursing teams caring for patients with complex, longer‑stay needs. Modules focus on rehabilitation nursing principles, specialist care routines, escalation readiness, and compassionate communication.

The Learning Experience

Amana Academy blends classroom learning with simulation-led practice so teams can translate knowledge into confident, safe care. Training is structured, practical and aligned to the realities of long‑term care and post‑acute rehabilitation - with mentorship, skills validation and continuous improvement built in.

Facilities 

Amana Academy is scheduled to open in a dedicated location on the Amana Healthcare campus in Q4 2026, featuring an auditorium, multiple classrooms and a simulation suite designed for structured specialist learning. 

Phase 1 of Amana Academy is currently focused on supporting the professional development of Amana Healthcare Bahrain staff. Training enrolment and schedules are coordinated internally.
